How do I test my bot before actual production?

Gupshup has this neat tool called the Gupshup Proxy Bot. It is a bot created by Gupshup that will mirror the bot you have created. We have created proxy bots on various messaging platforms for your testing purposes. Here's the proxy bot on Slack, Facebook and Twitter.
