Facebook Verified Business Manager is a program that provides an extra layer of security and authenticity to businesses that use Facebook for advertising and marketing purposes. While anyone can create a Business Manager account on Facebook, getting verified can be beneficial for businesses that want to establish themselves as credible and trustworthy to their target audience.
Typically, businesses that need a Facebook Verified Business Manager include those that:
Advertise heavily on Facebook: If a business spends a significant amount of money on Facebook ads, getting verified can help to establish trust with Facebook users.
Have a large following: Businesses with a large social media following may also benefit from verification, as it can help to prevent impersonation and fraudulent accounts.
Work in sensitive industries: Some industries, such as finance or healthcare, may require extra security and verification measures to protect user data and comply with regulations.
Want to establish credibility: Ultimately, any business that wants to establish credibility and trust with its audience may benefit from getting verified on Facebook.
It's important to note that Facebook's verification process is not a guarantee of a business's legitimacy, and it does not guarantee success on the platform. However, it can be a helpful tool for businesses that want to establish themselves as trustworthy and credible to their target audience.
How to verify your business?
- Go to the Business Manager's Security Centre. Click Start verification.
Note: You may have received a notification to begin verification in another platform, such as Meta Ads Manager, Commerce Manager, or the App Developer Dashboard.
- Provide your business's details, including the legal business name, address, phone number, and website.
Note: Make sure that the details you submit exactly match the details of your legal business entity. Also, make sure that your business's website loads and is HTTPS compliant.
- Confirm your business's details.
If no matching record is found, upload supporting documents, such as a business license or articles of incorporation, to confirm the details you entered.
- Choose a method to confirm your connection.
A confirmation code will be sent if you choose email, phone, text message, or WhatsApp. To confirm via domain verification, follow these steps.
