Migration from other BSP to Gupshup via Embedded Signup Flow

Are you looking to migrate your existing WhatsApp Business API Phone Number from another BSP to Gupshup? Let's get you set up with a live WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) in a few easy steps:

Step 1: 

1. Ensure 2FA is disabled at the source BSP for this phone number
2. Go to the Gupshup Dashboard.

Navigate to WhatsApp from the top tab.

Step 2: Create Your App

Click "Create App" and select "Access API" from the prompt.

Then it will ask you to name your app and click submit to create it. 

Now you're GupShup app is created but we still have to create the WhatsApp business account and Link a phone number to it. 

Step 3 Under your newly created app, find the option to "Go Live."

Step 4 There will be two options New Phone Number or Migrate Existing Phone Number please select ‘new phone number’ and click continue.

Step 5 As you do so again two options will appear please select Instant Onboarding with Facebook embedded signup flow. This will require you to log in to Facebook with the account with access to the Facebook Business Manager of the desired business.

Step 6 As you click Proceed you will be able to see the price breakdown, for each of your conversations and messages for GupShup and Meta, now click proceed. 

Step 7 Enter your business details (these details will not be shared with Meta) if ISV please enter your contact details and not the end client. If the email is already registered before this step will be skipped, please check and understand the terms and conditions.

Step 8 Now a screen will pop up to enter the OTP please copy the OTP from your email and proceed. Once OTP is confirmed please click Confirm and Continue.

Step 9 The new pop-up will show Continue with Facebook now you will leave the Gupshup UI  and go to the Facebook Business Manager profile. (please make sure that you are already logged into the FB Business  account that has access to the business's Facebook Business Manager)

Step 10 Follow the prompt on Facebook Business Manager to share your account with Gupshup.

Step 11: Verify Meta Business Profile

Confirm and proceed to the next step.

Step 13 Now you will be shown the WhatsApp business account name WhatsApp business profile display name and category business description and website. Add all the details and click next. 

Step 14 Add Phone Number

Enter the phone number (It is ok if you get a warning message 'This number is already registered to an existing WhatsApp account....')

Step 15: Verify with OTP

Final Step: Confirmation from Gupshup

Upon approval from WhatsApp, you will receive a notification from your WhatsApp manager that your WABA (WhatsApp Business Account) is now live. Gupshup will also email you that your app and WABA are live. You're now ready to start sending messages to your customers.

Once you get OTP verify the same, congratulations on successfully migrating your WABA to Gupshup from the previous BSP.
